Dolce & Gabbana brought Alta Moda to Tokyo for the first time celebrating Italian style in their unique style. Perfectly timed by the Cherry Blossom season, the most beautiful time in Japan, Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana personally presented their high couture collection at the Tokyo National Museum. In a dream scene inspired by pink and white flowers in bloom, 95 looks were presented to Japan high fashion society and international power players.

“Stefano and Domenico are just getting better and better” , commented Kelly Prehn, China’s most powerful woman in fashion. “They are creating the most gorgeous, feminine, beautifully made clothes to make dreams come true. Now, internationally, when people think of Italia – they think ‘Roma’, and ‘Dolce & Gabbana’. They are making art and bringing creativity to people that really appreciate this epic standard”.

“I think they are at the top of their game right now — better than ever” , reported Susan Casden on the designers. Italian fashion journalist Anna Dello Russo was instrumental in the Creative Direction of the Japan show. Stephen Hung, Deborah Hung and Eriko Yagi were also in attendance. “Uniqueness, tradition, craftsmanship. We believe in this project, we grow season after season, because we do different things. It is not a show but an experience. We do not sell clothes but we share the DNA” said Stefano Gabbana.
